To Whom It May Concern: The five Kindergarten classes, consisting of approximately ninety children, at Bruning School (Wilmington, Illinois) had the pleasure of seeing a dulcimer presentation by Mrs. Diane Ippel, in October of 2002. The presentation, which was about forty-five minutes in length, was extraordinarily high in quality. Mrs. Ippel not only played the dulcimer for the children, but she also educated them on the history of the instrument, the methods of playing it, etc. Her educational pieces were interspersed with songs and movement for the children, at proper intervals, and the interest of this young audience throughout. The students, the majority of which had no prior knowledge of this instrument, were clearly fascinated by watching her play it. This was a rich and enjoyable experience for both children and teachers alike. I highly recommend Mrs. Ippel's program as an excellent choice for a school assembly. Sincerely, |
